PATROL SKILL BUILDING I – THREE-DAY COURSE

This dynamic, three-day course is a must for officers looking to develop technical patrol skills.  Each day focuses on a different aspect of the patrol function with the following topics being featured:

DAY 1 – Crime Scene Response (Major John Encarnacao – NH State Police [retired]):

  • Initial Response
  • Scene Security
  • Processing
  • Do’s and Don’ts

DAY 2 – Investigations (Sgt. Marc Beaudoin – NH State Police [retired]):

  • Conducting a Proper Canvas

Day 2 – Foundations in Leadership

Day 3 – Basic Forensics

  • Understanding Forensic Science
  • Understanding where to look for trace evidence
  • Fingerprint Science – what they are, how to preserve and collect
  • Practical Experience with fingerprint processing and lifting
  • Understanding DNA evidence

Cancellation & Refund Policy

GSPCC has a 10-day cancellation policy. Any cancellations less than 10 days from the class start date will not be refunded. Because seating in our courses can be limited, we ask that all cancellations be made at least 10 days prior to the class start date.

We understand there may be exceptions due to unforeseen serious events. If your cancellation is due to a serious issue and is not within 10 days of the first day of the class, GSPCC staff will evaluate the circumstances and work with you on a refund.
