The Police & The People Podcast is hosted by Timothy Jones and Joshua Stokel. The mission of this podcast is to bridge the gap between the police and the people they serve. We want to create a better understanding of what the police do and why they do it. We do this by providing perspectives and introspection. We discuss police topics and issues and use our experience and backgrounds to provide perspectives, insight, and opinions. The podcast also touches on leadership issues and once per month the listeners get to hear Josh complain about something on a segment called, “What’s Buggin’ Stokel.”

The Police & The People Podcast will occasionally bring on guests to discuss current police issues and how they impact the citizens they serve. We also bring guests on the podcast to highlight them for their heroism or leadership. A few people that have been guests on the podcast are Pat McNamara, Rogers Johnson, and LT Chad Shevlin. Pat McNamara is a retired Army SF. He owns & operates TMACS, Inc Training Company. He also hosts The University of Badassery Podcast with C.J. OrtizBut. Rogers Johnson is the President of the Seacoast NAACP in NH and Chad Shevlin is the Lieutenant of the Raymond (NH) Police Department. Take a listen to episodes #11, #12, and #16 to hear these interviews and what these awesome guys have to say about their career as police officers and the great insight they have to give about what is going on in the law enforcement world today.

We like to talk about the current facing issues that are happening in society right now such as water being thrown on NYC police officers, active shooter response, and more. If you’d like to hear a point of view about these topics from police officers, you need to listen to The Police & The People Podcast.

Another topic we discuss in every episode is our business – Granite State Police Career Counseling. Granite State Police Career Counseling provides law enforcement training to police officers across New England. There’s never a bad time to expand your knowledge about the world of law enforcement and leadership. In each episode of our podcast, we explain why we do what we do, give you insight on hosting opportunities, and let you know our next class dates coming up in case you’re interested in signing up!
